Feed My Lambs Service Project
Meeting in the Fellowship Hall at 10:30am the first Tuesday of each month, the Feed My Lambs Service Project assembles sack-lunches for the low-income residents of White Oak Apartments in Porter, TX.
First Fruits Food Drive
The First Fruits Food Drive collects non-perishable food items in support of HAAM (Humble Area Assistance Ministries), that serves those in need throughout our local community. The food drive takes place the first week each month, you may bring your donations to the Sunday service, or drop them off in the First Fruits shopping cart in-front of the Narthex windows throughout the week.
Be The Bridge Project is based on some central affirmations. It affirms that Jesus cares about racism and calls his followers to be activists for reconciliation. It affirms that loving and valuing all people was central to his life and work. As a result, we follow in his footsteps when we continue this important work… for there is much work to be done.
We want to be a bridge from division and fragmentation to unity and wholeness. Bridging this divide starts with gathering courageous and compassionate people willing to listen and learn from history and the experiences of people of color in our community. The choice to listen with an open mind is where compassionate activism and lasting change begins.
Kingwood Christian Church and The Luke Church (Humble) have partnered together for Be The Bridge Project. Meeting the third Thursday of each month, rotating host between the two churches.

United Campus Ministry of Greater Houston
United Campus Ministry of Greater Houston was established in 1968 as an ecumenical partnership between the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and the United Church of Christ. The organization has served the UT School of Medicine, HCC locations, Texas Southern University, UHD, and Rice University. KWCC hosts gift card drives throughout the year to help stock UCM's on-campus food pantries and other resources.
Family Promise
Kingwood Christian Church is proud to continually partner with Family Promise of Lake Houston in a rotation of other churches to host unhoused families from our community. Typically one week per rotation, we welcome the families into Fellowship Hall. With the help of KWCC volunteers, we provide a home-cooked evening meal and sleeping arrangements for each family throughout the week. Families leave early each day, between 5:00-6:00AM to attend various activities - work, school, training, etc. During the evening other volunteers arrive to take over responsibility, including our overnight volunteers who bring their pillows and P.Js for a good nights rest and serve as an emergency resource should one be needed. Volunteers also serve in other capacities as well – shopping for groceries for breakfast and snack items for the week, setting up and tearing down the guest bedrooms at the beginning and end of the week, as well as volunteers who have a special talent they wish to share with the families during the week (example: kids/adult hair cuts).
Each July our church collects school supplies to be donated to a classroom of a Title 1 school within Humble ISD. Check the news and events page for specific collection items, dates and details.
Annual Turkey Drive
Partnering with Mission Northeast in Montgomery County, KWCC hosts an Annual Turkey Drive in late October to mid November. In lieu of collecting turkeys, we ask for a monetary donation that will be presented to Mission Northeast to help place a turkey on the Thanksgiving dinner table of a family in need within our community.
the Salvation Army
KWCC is proud to host a clothing drop-box in the church parking lot. Clothing donations should be bagged and placed into the collection bin, available 24/7 in the back of the parking lot. Please do not leave furniture or other items that do not properly fit into the bin. KWCC cannot accept or hold donations for The Salvation Army, the bin is managed and picked-up directly by the organization.
