The Table
On October 7, 2018, Kingwood Christian Church followed God into a new chapter in our ongoing story. After over a year of prayer and planning, we created “The Table” service, a unique, authentic, and inclusive worshiping community. The Table is a fresh expression of our collective heart and calling to be an “open and inclusive faith community committed to learning and practicing the teachings of Jesus.” At Kingwood Christian Church, we follow in the footsteps of Jesus, where everyone is welcome, included, and celebrated as an image-bearer of God.
Sundays at 11 AM in the Sanctuary
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary service aspires to create a reverent worship experience and environment, with a welcoming and inclusive message. The service includes responsive readings, scripture readings, prayers, a sermon, communion (which is open to everyone), and an optional offering.
We also sing hymns and we listen to music from the choir, bells or other musicians. The Sanctuary service is designed to help you to experience the awe and wonder of God, to engage a faith that values heart and mind, and to connect with others following the way of Jesus.
Combined & Special
Services
Throughout the year, we have a few special Sundays where we combine The Table and The Sanctuary. This allows our whole congregation to worship together and to experience varying worship styles. Combined services are at 10:30 am and will either take place in the Sanctuary or the Fellowship Hall.
They are typically on Children’s Sabbath (late February or early March), Palm Sunday, Graduation Sunday (mid-May), VBS Sunday (June), Back to School Sunday (August), World Communion Sunday (First Sunday of October), Thanksgiving Sunday (Mid-November), Cantata Sunday (mid-December), and for the last worship service of the year.
We also have special services throughout the year such Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Blue Christmas, and Christmas Eve.
Communion
Communion is central to our understanding of church and worship and offered weekly. Regardless of membership or background, newcomer or long-timer, ALL who gather are welcome to share in this sacred remembrance of Christ.

Savior of the World.
