Rev. Dr. Chad Mattingly
Senior Minister
 

Chad Mattingly is the Senior Minister of Kingwood Christian Church. He is a graduate of George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University and received his Doctorate of Ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary. Chad also received the distinguished 2013 John Bennett Award for Innovation in Ministry.

Chad can best be described at a passionate teacher and leader who believes the church exists to transform lives and communities through the all-inclusive love of God. Chad and his wife, Amber. have two children, Peyton and Taylor. Chad enjoys sports, fitness, movies, reading and dating his wife.

Associate Minister, Leadership Development
 

Margaret’s life mission is to ignite transformational change within individuals, organizations, and communities.  She desires to create within church communities a safe space where each person can experience the Spirit’s affirmation that “we are the beloved children of God and our lives matter.”  She has over 20 years of experience as a group facilitator, leadership coach, and organizational change consultant.  She earned her MA from Baylor University in American Church History.  Margaret enjoys reading mystery novels, singing, and learning new things.  She is happily married to Wes Maat; they have one daughter, Lily.

 
 
Emily Hollibaugh
Children’s Director
 
Emily Hollibaugh is the Children’s Director of Kingwood Christian Church. Additionally, she is a Related Service Counselor in the Klein School District. Emily received her bachelor’s in social work from Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and MSW from the University of Houston. Emily lives in Kingwood with her husband, Stan, and two daughters, Hannah and Clara.
 
 
Josh Taylor
Music Director
 
Josh Taylor is music director for Kingwood Christian Church’s Traditional Worship Service, as well as orchestra director at Kingwood Park HS. He is a graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, TN, having received his Bachelors of Music Education in 2010.
 
He has taught band, choir, and orchestra, as well as served in church music ministries in South Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas. He lives in Kingwood with his two cats, Arvo and Alma.
 
Chan Pollock
Accompanist
 
Chan Pollock is the pianist for the Traditionsservice at Kingwood Christian Church. He is a native of Miami, Florida and studied under Peggy Neighbors Erwin at Florida International University while obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance. He is a 28-year Kingwood resident, a full-time piano teacher and is frequently used as an accompanist for high school competitions and performances. Chan has served nearly 40 years in church music in various denominations including both liturgical and contemporary congregations. He is the proud father of five beautiful children.
 
Austin Hunt
The Table – Music &
Worship Director
 

Austin Hunt leads the worship band for KWCC’s contemporary service, The Table. He is concurrently the Director of Choral Activities at Grantham Academy in Aldine ISD, as well as Director of the Houston-based Luminari Boys Choir. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Sam Houston State University.

When he’s not directing choirs or leading worship, Austin enjoys singing opera, writing music, playing tennis, and spending quality time with his wife, Adaluz.

Youth Director
 

Zach Morris is Youth Director for Kingwood Christian Church. He is a graduate from Lone Star College with a Associates in Process Technology. Zach is also currently a part-time server at a local restaurant in the Humble area. He can be described as a caring and respectful individual. Zach is passionate about Christ and learning more about Him every day. He also enjoys watching sports and attending sporting events with his family.

Trisha Wood is the Office and Communications Administrator for Kingwood Christian Church.   She worked 16 years in the project logistics field as an agent, manager, and trainer before becoming a stay at home parent and volunteer for her church and within Humble ISD School system.  Knowing her passion was helping people as much as facilitating projects, she found a job that combined the two when she reentered the workforce.  Trisha is happily married to Mark Wood, and they have two college-aged sons, Garrett and Jason.  Trisha has lived in Kingwood since 1992.

Denise Morris is the Event Director at Kingwood Christian Church. She has planned, coordinated, and led many successful church, private and community-wide events, including fundraisers, private parties, and holidays. Denise is a long time Kingwood resident and lives with her husband Jeff, her two children Zachery and Rheagan, and her two dogs. When not planning events, she enjoys going to concerts, camping, and hanging out with her family and friends.
