Chad Mattingly is the Senior Minister of Kingwood Christian Church. He is a graduate of George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University and received his Doctorate of Ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary. Chad also received the distinguished 2013 John Bennett Award for Innovation in Ministry.
Chad can best be described as a passionate teacher and leader who believes the church exists to transform lives and communities through the all-inclusive love of God. Chad and his wife, Amber. have two children, Peyton and Taylor. Chad enjoys sports, fitness, movies, reading and dating his wife. |
Rev. Margaret Maat

Margaret’s life mission is to ignite transformational change within individuals, organizations, and communities. She desires to create within church communities a safe space where each person can experience the Spirit’s affirmation that “we are the beloved children of God and our lives matter.” She has over 20 years of experience as a group facilitator, leadership coach, and organizational change consultant. She earned her MA from Baylor University in American Church History. Margaret enjoys reading mystery novels, singing, and learning new things. She is happily married to Wes Maat; they have one daughter, Lily.

Lisa AguilarChildren's Director

Lisa Aguilar is the Children's Director at Kingwood Christian Church. She is a fifth grade teacher in Humble ISD, and has three elementary-aged children that also attend a Humble ISD school. Lisa is passionate about children, especially creating a safe space for them to be together at church, learning about the life and mission of Jesus. Lisa spends most of her time transporting her children to their various activities, sports, and social events, but when she has spare time, she loves being outdoors with her family, reading, and cooking!

Josh Taylor
Music Director

Josh Taylor is music director for Kingwood Christian Church’s Traditional Worship Service, as well as orchestra director at Kingwood Park HS. He is a graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, TN, having received his Bachelors of Music Education in 2010.
He has taught band, choir, and orchestra, as well as served in church music ministries in South Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas. He lives in Kingwood with his two cats, Arvo and Alma. |
Chan Pollock
Accompanist

Chan Pollock is the pianist for the Traditions service at Kingwood Christian Church. He is a native of Miami, Florida and studied under Peggy Neighbors Erwin at Florida International University while obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance. He is a 28-year Kingwood resident, a full-time piano teacher and is frequently used as an accompanist for high school competitions and performances. Chan has served nearly 40 years in church music in various denominations including both liturgical and contemporary congregations. He is the proud father of five beautiful children.

Tyler LewisThe Table Band Leader

Tyler Lewis is The Table Band Worship Leader at Kingwood Christian Church. Tyler has many musical talents including piano, guitar, and vocals. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s in musical Theatre. Tyler has been recognized as a ‘Fan Favorite’ of Minute Maid Park for singing The National Anthem during the pre-game ceremony.
