At KCC we are committed to changing the lives of young people by providing them with the environement and opportunity to become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ; carrying into the world Jesus' call in Matthew 22 to "love the lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind" and "love your neighbor as yourself."
We have weekly programming that we are excited about as well as some amazing annual events we look forward to. But first, let's wade through some of the letters and code words you might see here.
CYF stands for Christian Youth Fellowship and is the name given to the ministry for high school students (grades 9-12). We have a Sunday School class for this age group, attend three area retreats a year specifically for this age group, and also attend a church camp in Gonzalez, TX, exclusively for kidsin CYF.
Chi-Rho is our ministry with middle school afed youth (grades 6-8). Along with having a Sunday School class of their own, this group attends two annual area retreats and Chi-Rho Camp in grades 6 and 7. Students in 8th grade are invited to attend Eighters Camp, a Biblically based "Sexuality and Spirituality" camp that has been changing lives for over 20 years.
As part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we are proud and active members of the Coastal Plains Area (CPA). This is a body of churches in this region of Texas that join together for many of the youth ministry events we participate in year round.
