Bill FosterWilliam “Bill” Nicholas Foster II, 82, born December 24, 1925 to Samuel and Mildred Foster in Beaumont, Texas, died March 14, 2008 in Kingwood, Texas. After graduating from Waco High School in 1943, he served in the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer during World War II. After the war, he attended Southern Methodist University and graduated in 1949. During his life he worked as a tax specialist with British American Oil until his retirement in 1986. He was active in the Humble Area Genealogical Society, a member in the Sons of the American Revolution, and a member of Kingwood Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Dixie Ann Foster; children, Lurie McAdow and husband Lewis, William Foster III and wife Jana; beloved grandchildren, William Foster IV, Katherine Lynne Foster, and Lewis McAdow IV.

Mike McIlvainJames Michael “Mike” McIlvain, born August 25, 1949 in Austin to Jimmie Robert and Edith Alene Robinson McIlvain died unexpectedly on February 29, 2008 at the age of 58 after breathing problems and cancer. He was in Corpus Christi on a business trip. Mike graduated from Austin Lanier High School in 1967 before attending TCU, graduating in 1971. He married Mary Sue Ivey on June 13, 19969, in San Antonio. Mike spent most of his adult life in San Antonio, where he was a successful ceramic tile salesman. He served as a Sunday School teacher and Elder at KCC and delivered the sermon on Laity Sunday of this year. Mike was a big fan of TCU football, the San Antonio Spurs and loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include wife Mary Sue McIlvain of Kingwood; daughter and son-in-law Jamie and Paul Mount of Kingwood; daughter and son-in-law Betsy and Dale Berkebile of Fort Worth; granddaughter Natalie Mount of Kingwood; and his mother, Edith McIlvain of Kingwood.

Vivien WillardVivien Willard, February 5, 1918 - December 3, 2007, a member of Kingwood Christian Church since 2003, died Monday, December 3. She was the mother of Sandra Ingram and grandmother of Greg Ingram, both KCC members. Vivien is also survived by her son Steven Willard of Woodbury, Connecticut and granddaughter Alyson Ingram of Thornton, Colorado. Vivien was the widow of Myron Willard, an ordained Disciples clergyman. Vivien and her family helped pioneer South Shore Christian Church in Corpus Christi. She and Myron were serving Belfort Christian Church in Houston (which became part of what is now Kirkwood South Christian Church) when Myron died in 1970. Vivien went on to work at Baylor College of Medicine and for part of her retirement ran a bed and breakfast with her younger sister in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
