Welcome to our Ruminations! This is a place to look at our lives through the lens of faith. Basically, you'll find some conversation starters that provide something connected to the faith we claim (like scripture, common teachings, current events, etc.) and some kind of question calling us to examine the connection with our own lives.

Likely, you will find things that you already know, but also some stuff that may challenge us to really ask Jesus what he would want for our given context. Be ready to move out of your comfort zone, but more fully on the road with Jesus…it might even require that you pick up your cross.

Here are some general guidelines for our conversation. By posting a comment, you are agreeing to this covenant with the community in dialogue. May our ruminations bring us more glimpses of the Kingdom, us more depth in our relationship with God, and God more glory:

• Come to the conversation with some humility. None of us has all the answers. If you disagree with someone, do so respectfully. No one needs to come to this site for insults.

• Don't use language that you wouldn't use with Jesus.

• Come with a desire to learn and grow…not simply to teach others what you know. Our journey of growth with Jesus is actually life-long.

• Honor others & honor God. This does not mean you can't question something about God or even express honest emotions like anger. It just asks that we do so while honoring the dignity of all involved.
