Welcome!

We are committed to creating space where all have the opportunity to engage the Living Lord in Christian worship.  This includes welcoming everyone to share at the Lord’s Table, hearing from God’s Word, offering a variety of music styles and opening our lives to God in prayer.
If you long to be present to the One who invites all to come, if you are thinking that you might be ready to allow this One to shape your life, and if you want others to share this journey with you, come and see what the Lord can do!

Worship services are held each Sunday at 10:45 AM. In addition, Wednesday Night Worship services are also held at 7:00 PM. KCC Sunday School for Youth, Children and Adults starts at 9:45 AM on Sundays with several other options during the week for additional faith and fellowship opportunities. The below information may be helpful to you and your family.

• Kingwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) celebrates Open Communion. That means all who are followers of Jesus Christ are invited to participate in communion. On most Sundays, we celebrate communion by passing the bread and cup (grape juice) along the pews. You are invited to take the bread and juice when it is passed to you and then pass the tray along to your neighbor.

• Professional nursery care is available for babies and toddlers. Ask one of our greeters in the foyer to direct you to the nursery so that you can meet our staff and see for yourself this wonderful space created for your little ones.

• KCC encourages older children to participate in the opening of worship, and then enjoy Children’s Church which is provided for children ages 4 through second grade. Listen for the Children’s Church announcement before the sermon. At that time, the Director of Children’s Church will be available at the back of the sanctuary to guide children to their age appropriate areas. Parents are always welcome to accompany their children and meet the leaders of these programs.

• Assisted listening devices are available in the foyer to help members and guests participate more fully in worship and can be obtained by speaking to one of our greeters who will be happy to help you.

If you have a need for special prayer, our KCC Prayer Team would be honored to pray for you. Please complete a Prayer Request Card (located in the pews) and place it in the offering plate when it is passed during worship.  You may also notify the church office by phone at 281-360-7910 or by emailing us with any prayer concerns or celebrations.
