PIneapple Macadamia Nut Dip

Ingredients

2 pkgs (8 oz) cream cheese
1/3 cup crushed pineapple
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts.

Mix together and chill. Serve with crackers, fresh veggies, or fresh fruit (apples, etc.)

Sugared Nuts

Recipe from Alene Smith given to her from a friend when the friend was 92 years old. Many thanks to Betty Garber for sharing

Ingredients

1 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Concentrated Orange Juice
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 ½ Cups Pecans or Walnuts

Combine Sugar, Orange Juice, Lemon Juice; boil to the soft ball stage. Remove from heat add butter, beat until creamy. Add nuts and mix to coat. Spread on waxed paper to cool and store in air tight container. Yield 1 Pound

Cucumber Sandwiches

Ingredients

1 – 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
¾ cup mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
Season to taste with Cavender’s Greek seasoning (I use 2 tsp.)
Blend together thoroughly with fork.

Best when made ahead! Cut and trim bread according to individual preference. Peel cucumbers and slice thinly. Spread cheese mixture on bread, top with slices of cucumber, sprinkle lightly with dill weed..

Shrimp Dip

Ingredients

2 – 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese
1 stick butter or margarine
8-10 chopped green onions
2 cans medium deveined shrimp (I have used fresh & frozen, but best with canned.)

Melt butter and cream cheese slightly in microwave. Add onions and shrimp. Stir well and heat until warm.

Boston Style Pizza Dip (this recipe can be doubled for a large group)

Ingredients

8 oz. cream cheese
½ cup sour cream
½ cup pizza sauce
½ cup mozzarella cheese
½ cup chopped pepperoni (I used mini pepperoni)
¼ tsp. garlic powder ½ tsp. oregano (or Italian seasoning)

Cream together cream cheese, sour cream and spices. Put in 8x8 microwavable dish. Put pizza sauce on top. Add pepperoni and microwave for 3 minutes. Top with mozzarella cheese. Microwave for 3 minutes more.
