KCC Care Team
Without a doubt, one of the most important and rewarding ministries at Kingwood Christian Church is the KCC Care Team. This faithful and watchful group is comprised of both men and women of all ages and assists the Ministerial staff and Elders to ensure that congregational needs and concerns are gently and sensitively addressed whenever possible by our Church family .
Each member of the Care Team is assigned a small group of KCC members to care and pray for as well as offer encouragement when needed. Some of the ways they share the congregation's love include maintaining regular contact through writing cards or notes, making visits or phone calls, coordinating and providing meals for homebound members after hospital stays, surgery, etc., coordinating hospital visits when appropriate (and requested) and coordinating meals for families experiencing the loss of a family member or other times of crisis.
The Care Team also welcomes and helps assimilate incoming church members by being aware of any new faces present in Worship or Sunday School and with phone calls, personal visits and personal invitations to church functions. The Care Team and the church staff also coordinate the always touching yearly All Saints Day celebration where members and loved ones of the Kingwood Christian Church congregation who have passed on during the previous year are remembered with prayer and thankfulness.
