About Kingwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

We Are...

A group of people who love Jesus and seek to be shaped by His love for us. We hope to be shaped so that others will encounter God's presence and care flowing through us. Though the "shaping process" takes a lifetime, we've committed to giving God plenty of room to work on us and through us.

In essence, we've created space for encountering and partnering with God through Worship (on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings); Intentional Growth (in Bible Studies, Prayer, Formation Groups like Disciples Women and Youth, etc.) and Reaching Out within and beyond our walls (Family Promise, Food Bank, Hosting low-cost counseling services, Friday Night Hangouts for community youth, empowering those in financial need, and much more).

Into this space which belongs to God, we humbly welcome all who seek something more in life. Come as you are…that's what we do. Some of us will be dressed casually, while others will look pretty sharp, but we figure that God sees beyond those trappings so we seek to do the same.

As we look around our world, we know that we have been blessed, and we trust that our blessings are meant to be for the sake of blessing the world. "From those who are entrusted with much, much is expected." So, of course, we can't always stay in our own comfortable space. From here to home, work & school…and even around the world, we strive to live with a generous love that furthers God's vision. It is an incredible honor (and lots of fun) to partner with God whenever we get the chance so we're always expectant for the new things God may be up to.

If you are looking for a "space" to ask questions, to explore what it is to be in relationship with the Living God, to put your faith into action, and to share the journey of "being shaped" with others, come join us. We trust that the Lord will meet us here.

Kingwood Christian Church is a local community of Faith which believes that we have received many blessings from God, and who also believes that with those blessings comes responsibility: to become blessings to all that we come into contact with. We have started a new initiative at KCC that we call "Beyond the Walls" - which simply means that we can no longer hide our blessings within the confines of the walls of our Church but rather actively spread them out to all of our neighbors.

As you browse through our website, pay special attention to the exciting ministries that we have going on at KCC. From Worship to Service Projects to Social Events, we are working hard to Celebrate and Share all the blessings we have received. And, of course, you are welcome to join us for any and/or all of these ministries. You will find multiple ways to contact us within the pages of this website - and you are always welcome just to stop by and have a cup of coffee with us.
